Why blog about my stressors?

I've recently discovered that my health is being adversely affected by stress. I own and operate a fairly successful, but still struggling small company. I manage a large and diverse family, including most of the finances, and have taken all of that responsibility. I homeschool seven children, some of which are not my own. Because of these things, I'm often responsible for dealing with any and all problems, from major corporate catastrophes to deciding what's for dinner.

I suffer from asthma, breathing difficulties, immune deficiencies, digestive problems, headaches, anxiety, insomnia, physical depression, memory difficulties, increased appetite and the resulting increase in body fat, muscle tension, especially in my shoulders, neck, and arms. It has only just occurred to me that these are all symptoms of acute or prolonged stress.

It has been suggested that (in addition to other therapies) I journal, and this is my attempt to follow that advice and possibly reduce my stress level. Names have been changed to protect the guilty and the innocent.
